Mini Leopard

Boots & Leather Jacket: TopShop. Skirt: Courtesy of storets.com
Shirt: Courtesy of Club Couture. Bag: Mulberry mini leopard Alexa. Beret: Vintage

Ooooooooh I cannot even begin to tell you the drama I had getting my hands on this bag. It was a birthday gift from the boy and his lovely family (thank you Goldbergs!) and was ordered in advance of my birthday from Net-a-Porter. First there was a delay getting the bag delivered, then when it eventually arrived I wasn't sure I even liked the bag anymore and spent a week comparing and contrasting it with every other 'Alexa' in the world, then when I finally decided to stop being crazy and admit my love for the bag.... IT BROKE. I wore her for one hour to Sainsbury's and the postman's lock broke. I do not even have the words to express my anger. The following few days were spent on the phone to Net-a-Porter's customer care team (hello Jane!) who arranged to have the broken bag collected and then sent me out a new one. So now here she finally is: My patent mini leopard Mulberry 'Alexa'. And let me tell you something, after all that drama- I love her.

The white shirt I'm wearing comes from Club Couture. I am of the belief that you can never have too many shirts. This one has sparkly buttons so it's completely different from the 6 other white silky shirts in my wardrobe. At least that's what I tell myself ;)

Props to storets.com for this gorgeous skirt.... Makes me feel like a ballerina and since it's black that must mean I'm a black swan ballerina. Yes I am!

p.s Have you noticed Oscar peaking at me from the corner of some of these shots? He gets so excited when me and the boy go outside to take the blog pictures. I'm trying to make a gif of him ambushing me during this shoot.

p.p.s This outfit was only made possible by the two pairs of Uniqlo heat tech leggings and my M&S thermal vest worn under it. God bless thermal!

Mon Chat....

Jeans: TopShop. Sweater: Uniqlo. Boots: ASOS.
 Beret: Vintage Mary Quant.

This sweater actually belongs to the boy but he has trouble doing the washing when I'm not around and shrunk it. It's now the perfect slim fit sweater for me. His loss, my gain!

I saw these boots on ASOS and went straight to checkout. I think it's my fastest online purchase ever. Leopard print. Check! Pony effect. Check! Platform. Check!

I'm kind of obsessed with this lip stick. I actually don't even remember buying it... I think it came free in a gift bag. Anyway, it's "Super Stay Colour" by Maybelline and it really works! It stayed on all day and didn't dry my lips at all. I highly recommend it! What are your favorite lip sticks or glosses?

His and Hers aka Jungle Fever

Cocktail Dress: Garbelle for Trainerspotter. Men's Shirt: Trainerspotter. Sunglasses:Rayban

This is another shoot from back in the day. Trainerspotter is a really cool british label that I have a lot of love for. I was nuts about this shirt from the moment I saw it. Those lovely (and very smart) boys saw how Cyrena was making hot dresses and gave her some of the same material.... The dress above is what she came up with. Genius. And it fitted me like a dream. She also made another dress with a sick hood attached but I'll save those pictures for another day.

I love how the shots for the dress are sassy and feminine and then the shots with the shirt have a rockerbilly vibe. The boy killed it with the lighting. It looks like it's the hottest day in the jungle ever when in fact it was bloody freezing in my back garden and you couldn't even see the sky through the clouds.

Um, how small is Oscar here!? Adorable!!!!

It was his first photo shoot and he nailed it! God I miss my baby!

I'm in the middle of pilot season at the moment. I spend all day in my car going form audition to audition and then I come home and learn lines for the following day. It's hard work but there is something really satisfying about working towards something and chasing the dream. You gotta have a dream, right?

(Just saw that I finally made it to 100 followers. Thanks so much guys! It made so happy to see that! Mwah!)

Belated

I've been meaning to do a post about my birthday for ages but I've been far too busy watching TV and eating myself silly. Yesterday was the last of the silly eating days. I think.

I'm loving being at home. One of my favourite things to do is browse properties on the internet because I literally cannot wait to live in London. I have a place in LA now and I'll be going back there in Jan but at some point next year I am making London my home again.

I missed my friends so much whilst I've been away and my birthday was the first time we'd all been in the same place at the same time. I picked a cosy pub called The Lansdowne for my birthday festivities. It was freezing outside but the fire and the champagne kept us all warm.

My Zahra. Looking very French. I love the beret and red lips.
Photobucket

Gil. One of three Goldberg boys. I have the best one but the other two aint bad. Gil is working the Gangster look here.
Photobucket

I'm SO excited by the cake. Clapping my hands and all sorts.

My Daren aka Kevin Morosky. My mum calls him her second son. Read his blog here. He takes great pictures on a disposable camera.
Photobucket

At some point in the evening I decided I actually wanted to BE Daren. I took his glasses, his hat and his camera. I found myself HILARIOUS. Everybody else did not.
Photobucket

Cyrena from Garbelle. She made me a gorgeous jacket for my birthday. It's so perfect. Hand made presents rock.
Photobucket

Gemma. She is rocking the bad ass pocahontas look and KILLING it!
Photobucket

Jenni and Stepford. Stepford is called Stepford because she IS a Stepford wife. She bakes whilst wearing a frilly apron and red lipstick. She's my Idol. Jenni is all kinds of awesome :)
Photobucket

Ithai. Another Goldberg boy. I think he wanted to be Daren too.

One of the first things I did when I got to London was take my fur out of storage. I love this coat so much. It cost me 40 pounds from Portobello Market and it's seen me through many winters. (um why is there no pound sign on this computer!?!) I have no idea what fur it is or if it's even real fur. It has been the subject of many a debate. It's super rough and moults like a mutha f**ker... but I love it.

Oscar and I have spent our days hibernating. He takes it very seriously....
Photobucket

He'll even squeeze into a bag if needs be.

I might send that picture to American Apparel. He could easily be a model for them.

This is pretty much my favourite outfit to wear at the moment. A look I like to call: 'Crazy Theatre Dame Chic'.

Kimono: vintage. Leggings and hat: American Apparel. Butterfly vest: TopShop. Leopard scarf (used as belt): H&M.

My darling boy surprised me and bought me the gorgeous heart ring in the above picture. I lusted after it whilst I was in NY. It's an antique from 1880. I adore old rings, actually I adore most old jewellery. This ring made me yearn for it. I went back into the shop so many times and then one day it wasn't there! I was so heart broken.... and then months later my boy gave it to me for my birthday. I have no idea how he managed to keep it a secret for all that time but I'm glad he did.
